In addition to navigation, Nity: DashCam AI Map features a camera with object detection capabilities. You can set the camera and map preferences in the settings page. The app allows for both automated and manual event recording, with a 3-second auto-trigger. Its deep neural network and computer vision technology enable it to detect objects and provide warnings for distracted driving.
Furthermore, Nity: DashCam AI Map includes a running feature that allows you to track your time for 100m and 400m distances. With turn-by-turn navigation integrated into the running screen, you can stay on track without needing to switch between apps.
The app also calculates a driver score based on various factors such as hard braking/acceleration time, tailgating time, left turn, right turn, and the number of low-speed alerts. Additional metrics like peak acceleration, peak speed, and 0 to 60 mph (0 to 100 kph) timer are evaluated as well. If the camera option is not used, the overall score calculation is based on hard braking/acceleration time, left turn, and right turn.
To ensure optimal phone positioning, the app provides guidance on tilt angle. For windshield mounting, a tilt angle of approximately 5 degrees is recommended, while horizontal or vertical mounting requires a tilt angle of about zero degrees.
